What Are Intentions?

The way you phrase your intentions is really important. Yoga Nidra is a very powerful process, and it is possible to manifest things we don’t really want, or things which are not for our greater good.

To ensure you have the highest chance of success with manifesting your intentions during the practice of Yoga Nidra, remember:

State your intention with conviction.

If you want to manifest your intentions successfully, you must be absolutely certain that what you are manifesting has already happened in the future.

Your intention must be in the present tense.

You only manifest that which you believe has already happened. If you want to manifest more money, you could say “I have $____ in my bank account”

Use first person statements.

“I am _____”
“I have ______”

Your unconscious mind cannot distinguish between positive and negative.

So if you want to reach your ideal weight, you should say something like “I am at my perfect weight and body shape” rather than “I don’t want to be fat” otherwise your unconscious mind will act on the word fat, ignoring the don’t and manifest that result instead.

Once You Have Your Intention

Positive intentions do not magically manifest results, what they do instead is open your subconscious mind to new channels of information and opportunity, so you notice opportunities and take good action on them in order for changes to happen to your life.

Now you have your intention, repetition is essential, so the more times you repeat an affirmation the better. It should become a daily practice.

  2. Just what I’ve been looking for! Always seeking half hour, or less. Beautiful, calming, soothing voice to follow. Progressive muscle relaxation (crown to feet, instead of vice versa). Binaural beats. Syncing left & right. Letting go of any and all resistance. Freeing my self. Connecting with Source. Breathwork.
